Loud Shirt Beer

I was commissioned to design brand identity for a craft beer start-up company.
Tasked with creating all the elements needed to get the company up and running, I designed digital and print artefacts including: logo, website, beer labels, beer mats, business cards and launch party banners. As the business moved forward I updated/changed/scrapped and redesigned the labels (some of the initial beers were pretty grim and several names, labels and copy were scrapped), created cask labels and eventually a van wrap.
The company name came from the preferred attire of the owners as well as it having many cultural associations that they wanted to tap into, it made the brand personal and identifiable and spoke to their target market (middle aged chaps like them). It also made naming each beer rather fun as we wracked our brains for titles that could also be types or patterns of shirt fabric. The tag line Tailor-made in Brighton gave the product provenance.
I’m particularly fond of my bottle cap/button tittle design.
